A stunning example of Vallauris 'vannerie' ceramic work, this sculptural handwoven basketweave piece in an rich emerald green is truly a special find. Similar to the iconic work of Jerome Massier, but with no makers mark to attribute the piece. Likely 1950s-60s, with a twisted handle and 'rope' base. This would make a showstopping fruit bowl, but is also a beautiful standalone object. A true heirloom.
This has one miniscule graze to the glaze, but is in otherwise perfect condition.
