A great pair of black wrought iron courting candles (so-called because a father would adjust the height of the candle to determine how much time a potential suitor was allowed to spend with his daughter). They stand on three feet with a finger hook to the top. These are in excellent vintage condition with the mechanisms working smoothly. They cut a striking silhouette on a dinner table, mantelpiece, or anywhere else.
Each candlestick measures 18cm at its highest point.
